Every time I finish the collection, I look back on all the pieces I have created, and handcarve one last piece as a final reflection to wrap up the collection.
If you remember the last time, in the journey collection, it was the tears ring. Which was a celebration of my own tears after finishing a collection that represents who I am as an artist, maker, and as a human.
This time, after finishing all the pieces, I felt somewhat at ease, unlike the last collection where there was a clear purpose of launching a new beginning for Kotoba, this collection felt more like I am just finding my own place again within this dream making journey.
“I think I know who I am now, but where do I go now, where do I belong.”
For these past two years, I kept searching and searching, and just recently, I realized maybe I just belong to where I am now in this moment.
Instead of looking far away, I want to look closely to where I am now.
The hidden beauties around me, the people that are around me, the people like you who are here reading these words, in this very present,
Isn’t this a miracle already, I am so grateful to be here.
In this place, this is already my dream.
In this present, this is where I belong.
This ring is made to celebrate this present moment of where you belong; every ring is one of a kind, with different waves, and a different placement of the gem.
